Our mission

Give her the space.
Let her find
what’s possible.

The Girl Lab Inc. empowers girls ages 12 and up through hands-on STEAM education, using fragrance and body product creation to spark curiosity, build confidence and inspire future innovators.

We connect science to something girls can imagine, design and explain. From measuring a sample to telling a product’s story, the learning process makes room for questions, experimentation and individual expression.

Inside the lab

From “what if”
to “look what I made.”

One idea, six weeks of exploration. Discover the proposed learning journey, from first measurements to a final showcase.

Start with curiosity.

Meet the group, practice measuring with water and learn to record observations. Discover the difference between mass and volume—and why repeatable measurements matter.

More than a finished product

Skills she can take
wherever she goes.

01 / INVESTIGATE

Ask a better question.

Make a prediction, compare two versions and use recorded observations to explain what changed.

02 / CREATE

Bring an idea to life.

Explore scent concepts, packaging and label design while connecting creative choices to an intended audience.

03 / COMMUNICATE

Tell the story behind it.

Build a learning portfolio and practice explaining the process, the evidence and the next idea to explore.

Thoughtful learning. Responsible making.

The planned program uses educator-approved materials, non-skin testing and reviewed activities. Unscented alternatives support the same core learning goals. Classroom prototypes are learning samples; unreviewed products will not be distributed.

For families

A few things
you might
be wondering.

A welcoming introduction to hands-on learning. No previous science or product-making experience is needed.

Who is the program for?

The planned first youth cohort is for girls ages 12–17. The broader mission serves girls ages 12 and up; future adult programming would use a separate cohort.

How long is the program?

The proposed format is six weekly sessions of two hours each, with a lead educator and trained assistant present throughout each workshop.

What will participants create?

The planned final project combines a documented scent concept, a reviewed product prototype, package design and a short presentation. The focus is on learning and explaining the process.

What if my child is sensitive to fragrance?

The curriculum includes unscented alternatives and non-skin tests. Before enrolling, families should discuss sensitivities and accommodation needs with the program team so suitable participation arrangements can be confirmed.

When and where can we join?

Launch dates, the venue, registration details and participation costs have not been announced. This website will be updated when the first cohort is ready for enrollment.

Can a school or community organization partner?

We welcome interest in suitable workshop space, sponsorship, volunteer support and future program partnerships. Email info@thegirllabinc.com to discuss a potential partnership.
